Back from busking... and Genting.
I think SE is weird. Of all places in Orchard Road, they had to go take the area behind Meritus Mandarin where there were construction works at the traffic lights, where dropping something sounds like thunder rumbling, the birds were squawking for all they were worth after six, and the traffic on the road in front vroomed, va-vroomed, beeped, and zzooppped. SO NOISY HOW TO PLAY?!!! What made my mood worse were the freaking court shoes which bit me, damn it, BIT ME AGAIN. My little toe hurt like hell and I almost hobbled all the way home -.-. The songs there were in the desk file were limited too. There was one lady who asked for Silent Night, but we didn't have it then, though I distinctly remember sorting it out from the messy piles of scores. Then we played Jingle Bells so many times, I think we can all memorise it now. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID, STUPID KEE CHIN. Curse him. So uber lazy he doesn't turn up for busking and I'm the only violin II there, had to play extra loud! Might as well substitute him with Dawn, she has one slot less than me anyway.
I collected my new specs before I left for Genting. Oh my gosh I didn't realise my eye degrees increased that much. It's much thicker now :( But it's blue!
Bought my new school bag from Genting. The new outdoor theme park is cool, and literally cool too. I went the indoor one before, so it was pretty obsolete...ehhhhhhh sorry guys, I didn't manage to get any souvenirs. Not even any for myself, apart from food and my new school bag -.- I saw this pompoms that I wanted to get at first but then later realised that the teddy bear in the middle made them look FLAT, and pompoms are not meant to be flat! So yeah sorry. The hotel room was irritatingly small in First World Hotel Tower 2 and it irritated me, A LOT, to be in the same room as my younger sis got crankier and crankier, getting more unreasonable by the minute. Pft. I saw a lot of costume jewelry at the shopping centre there. Dawn and Jen would probably go mad if they saw it. They seemed to be everywhere, but different!

i almost freaked out yesterday when i thought something dropped into my violin f-hole.... thank god its just the fine tuner rattling -.---- anyway i changed all my strings to dominant... my Estring broke anyway... might as well change everything. then after theory there was this 10 min break mr cheng went out for lunch and i was supposed to sit there practising... not my e-string-less violin but his. i took up his violin and thought... zomg this violin is ancient - made in 1834 by some jon baptista guy in italy. that's the oldest violin i ever touched! even lynette's violin isn't that old... i think more than 60 years though. o.o he said it was worth 50K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! zomg. when he said that i just handed it back to him and say then you better take it back, i'm too clumsy and it might be damaged... just look at all the scratches on mine!!! then i was asking if the violin was ancient, and he started pointing out it was actually a VIOLA! no wonder it sounds so deep. and when i took a closer look at the sides i could see the cuts and glue. apparently it was cut smaller into a violin so they could earn more commercially since violins cost more than violas -.- not symetrical anymore. he said some people might even say it looked hideous =.= it still looked perfectly fine to me. but the cuts and glue at the side MIGHT be a little unsightly.

pushcart challenge
had to wake up really early to get to toa payoh =.= lucky my father fetched me there the first day. next day back and fro i just took bus 8. hahaha i was too lazy to change bus ._. anyway sales wasn't that good. we hardly profited, if not it was very little. just enough to cover our costs and earn back a little profit. we didn't even sell finish the handphone stuff and handmade jewelry!!! there was this bendemeer secondary next to us and they were selling plants. low cost i suppose - they won most promising business plan. we didn't really care whether we won anything or not, just cover everything can already. we even had to buy some of our own stuff. i got the pink rabbit for jen. shall add on to her other present. yeah jingwen went too, and brought my present with her! so coincidental we bought each others' presents from the same brand -.- just different designs. first time i actually STOOD UP FOR 8 HOURS++ straight.... no portable chair, so we had to make do. didn't win anything in the end la, even best visual display also have to fake our own voters - super pathetic.

haven't blogged in a while because i haven't been feeling too good lately so this will be a bumper post!!! ohhh i got into BSP?! i never thought i would, didn't even know until yiting told me just now -.- why am i the only person from 2E to go 3J!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'd be so lonely -.-. i never even got in for the talent thingy lor. must be my geog not good enough.

Jewelry making workshop!!! 1 hour early AGAIN, thanks to dawniepye.... she went to eat breakfast and treated me to hashbrown so i forgive her :) then just slowly ate until 10 plus where we kinda went a few rounds around the spirally chinatown point to find the vive creations shop. finally found it after dunno how many rounds. the aircon was COLD. very COLD, like nailbiting cold... eh that's sounds wrong... errrr never mind. anyway it was cool, didn't expect it to be quite so easy. just string the beads, use the pliars to turn the clasps and stoppers and stuff... and voila! you're done. got quite a lot of stars on mine, even more on dawn's. kind of have to thank miss tan for sponsoring us.
after this went to eat mac's and you won't believe it, but dawn ordered the DOUBLE MCSPICY!!! Oh my god. i was just telling my family yesterday after i saw the ad on tv that burger was totally crazy and only crazy people would eat it. except for highly active ppl, or those with high metabolism rate, or really fat people. omg, when i saw her ordering i was like you sure you wanna eat that? i still stuck to good ole fish :D then when we sat down eating i saw this sign that said 100% beef on the burger box. dawn was shocked because it looked like chicken to her, and it sure did to me. and both of us don't eat beef.
went to clarke quay to look at jewelry counterparts. dawn is considering setting up a handmade jewelry shop! so many stuff and charms to look at. pity i hadn't any more money left and there wasn't the one i wanted anyway. i want the one from shugo chara: the bracelet thingy with the 4 card suit symbols on it. that is pretty!!!

wasted the entire morning at the doctor's -.- queueing for medicine and doctor. thank god i had my book. spent afternoon on WOWP and dragonfable. i know i'm lame -.- but i need time killers. just practiced my violin after that.
9/11/2008my birthday!!!! yay fourteen at last. still had to go to school in the morning for CIP for goodness sake, literally. raise funds by selling merchandise for the autistic children. walked all around tampines central gosh. even my lunch upset itself and i vomited -.- must have been too much walking and gassy drinks. but that let me go home straight from tampines central since i didn't feel good. silver lining maybe. didn't have to go back hostel to report. just went home to bathe and sleep :DDD until dinnertime.
watched d-grayman [quite cool luh] and azumanga daioh [really lame] since i was totally bored apart from reading storybooks. you shouldn't seriously watch azumanga daioh unless you are bored out of your wits. totally. it has no plot and no story sense. just some darn lame humour. but still makes you laugh. oohhhh then mum took out my birthday cake... yipppeeeeee. it was covered in white chocolate [OMG <333]>

oh after music lessons mum brought us out to eat haagen daz icecream and go shopping!!! though the only thing we bought were music books =.-- haagen daz was oishi! bad thing was the service charge. those manners were just facades for service charges -.-

high school musical 3!!!!!! simlin and abraham were darn late, ended up we missed the 1.15 show by 5 minutes -.- so we had to go for the 3.45 one. came extra early to do clara's friend a favor and buy jing wen's present. finally found some ... myuk pencil box [had to borrow clara's money!!!] when they finally reached went to buy the tickets, and the counter person insisted on looking at ALL OUR EZLINK CARDS! is she blind or what. 1 ezlink card can buy 2 student tickets!!! since someone was late, ended up going library first [and that someone didn't even borrow a single book] before heading for the movie when we bought popcorn and drinks... and clara SPILLED the sprite. HSM3 songs are pretty good, storyline is sooooo cliche, typical, normal... whatever you call it. only some really funny scenes, like when troy's juniors chase him all about the school half naked to get back their clothes, all the way to the theatre =.= is there no rule about running about half-naked? east high is really special!!! look at the following points, and compare to our own school.
1. NO LOCKS. please enter at night to bother your drama teacher.
2. NO EXAMS. please choose your new college after summer holidays.
3. NO SWITCHES. please turn on the spotlight any time.
4. NO RULES AGAINST PULLING DOWN BANNERS which people took ages to put up.

i cut my hair. okay it's not that horrible, i still can tie it up, but the ponytail is really short -.-.
today's fashion show wasn't that bad after all. damn cool actually. those costumes were all made from recycled materials. too bad my pictures are all too small if not i'd post them up. most of the people in the fashion show were girls and there was only one group of guys dressed up as characters from final fantasy. dunman high people theme was fairy tales and there was laura as this evil witch... hahaha the costumes were really interesting. i must try to get some pictures and post them up! jing wen is still VERY TALL and getting prettier. 1.78m leh!!! but she's still underweight. jing wen jiayou kay! she got into VJC but probably won't know gladys since they're in different classes.
after that went to popular to buy some of my school books if not i'd have to lug the whole lot of them home by myself if i had waited till the subject combos were out -.- they were already very heavy. good luck to all of you lugging your books home.

SE today was intensive!!! now i know why the schedules were reshuffled for everyone. arrived at school really early, like an hour before SE -.- dawnie it's your fault. so we just went to buy bubble tea [dawn doesn't know there's a sweet talk at ghim moh] and headed to school. dawn thought the camouflage tree in school was really cool -.-/// so... we just started talking about random stuff [WOWP!!!] and waited for juniors to come. boy... i love my juniors. especially jasmine... most funniest. whoops, my english. anyway miss ku almost went over ALL the important bars with us. i want to thank her for being really patient. she kept using that phrase on us -.- and stuff like "i'm very patient [laugh - us] and i can sit here until eight. so you all better help her if not..." LT 1 was freezing as usual. dawn is warm = thick skinned = breaking dawn = sing to the dawn = dawn condensed milk = cow = cowskin leather... and many other things :DDDD lol.
last week we had the moot parliament prog lecture. i'm still wondering why we were given the chance to go for this lecture when others weren't. is it because our application didn't do well? so they were giving us another choice? or is it because it was good, they wanted us to do something else? anyway we weren't interested, just went there for fun. quite interesting though. when we were going back simlin finally remembered i owed her bubble tea and jen + i told her if she wanted it she had to walk to sweet talk if not she won't get it. hahahaha she finally gave in. that morning i went especially early to find ms [debbie] tan sign my leave form. and guess who i ran into. ms [christine] tan! and isabel. 0.0 as a result of our discussion she sent isabelle, dawn and i for a jewelry-making workshop, sponsored by her! wow. i didn't think she would be THIS NICE!!!

okay i don't believe i'm missing my class already. shuqi you've got to be joking. i thought you had better control of your mind than that. i thought you disliked half the class? or at least don't really care? i never cry, but some things are better expressed in words and pictures. o.o i only want things tangible. emotions aren't. i need something to do. stupid ms tan today suddenly cancelled the meeting last minute. -.- luckily i was only at simei. ahhhh dedications. in random order then.
i'm grateful to gladys for just being there whenever i want to talk, especially because she's the register number in front of me! others probably wouldn't care, but she does! and gladys is one of those very few who still likes pokemon up till now and i can really relate about this! hope to see you next year at SE concert although you're leaving for VJC.
i'm grateful to amanda cheng and regina for being my desk partners and putting up with me for the past few months before exams. you were really there for me in those worse months [pulls face]. try science test and chinese test. and we were all helping each other right?!
i'm grateful to swee yee and siang ler for being some of the best IVP mates ever. maybe we didn't get distinction, but that was probably because we were too high and lazy. too late for regrets, but hey! i enjoyed it. thanks siang ler, also for being always cheery, cheeky and cute all the time. stay that way!

i hate my exam results.
i twisted my ankle a few days ago so i can't do inline skating.
i got a C for history
and language arts. i got A for science and maths.
i got B for chinese, which was already expected.
i could have done better. i know i messed up/botched up/whatever u call it/ this time. big time.
BAD NEWSSSSS SUCKS. can't describe it further without feeling even worse.
only good news is geography and chinese. i'm happy that my compo improved ;) and my geography is still an A+. the others all went downnnnn :((((((((((((((((
forget about exam results. they make everyone feel horrible. i still have next year and hopefully i still can manage triple science. obviously i want geog. i think my writing is deproving.

there was one crazy woman in the train today. just because jen and i were sitting in opposite priority seats - i think she's plain jealous - she scolded us -to simlin- that those seats are meant only for disable, elderly, pregnant ladies... and we shouldn't be sitting there in the first place. i just told simlin there weren't even elderly in the carriage so we won't have to give up our seats! and the woman scolded us 'uneducated'! she threatened to tell principal even. i think she totally pissed simlin off. we just walked over to jen and told her everything and remained standing there. i think she doesn't know interrupting a conversation and eavesdropping is RUDE. of all things. for goodness sake that sign priority seat has totally been misinterpreted by her! jen suspected she took pictures with her motorazr somemore. it takes one to know one, i suppose. i almost couldn't tell until jen pointed it out. who types an sms with 1 hand? from her angle i suppose you could totally see us. if she posts it on stomp she is soooo going to be dead. try looking through those forum replies in stomp. you'll see what i mean. she's unreasonable. i can't see why we can't sit in the priority seats just because there's a sign there. it was empty, and the elderly were already seated!!! we did nothing wrong.

i just realized i'm practically tooooo lazy to blog, although i love reading blogposts. i was rushing out the final proposal yesterday so i didn't blog at all and today i'm tired out from running all over south bridge road, toa payoh and school! looking for materials is so damn hard and tomorrow it's going to happen all over again. pushcart competition really keeps me going - the prize money is $3000 o.o what we spend would be less than what we win :DDD.
i shall finish up my incomplete post about chalet later. i came back home this morning ._. yawn. before rushing to toa payoh thinking i would be late but i was early -.-. samantha was late because the express bus was and nicholette was 30 min early o.o. anyway that place where we are holding the pushcart competition has no aircon!!! T_T then it's surrounded by handbags. went to macs for lunch before completing a 'final survey' of the place and rushing off to school to meet mr lim [and i also saw mr lim...CJ] and ms tan. yay miss teo rocks... i passed her the application form - it was THICK. and she agreed to help me fill up the empty spaces. so ironic lorh, mr lim and ms tan. mr lim was telling us to sell stuff like thumbdrives - not feasible no money - and attack the handphone market, ms tan was telling us to sell accessories to attract the girl market. we started with the girl market and took isabel's mum's car to south bridge road. in the car samantha [-she skipped Jap] realised she forgot to tell weili she wasn't going and she was oh-so-apologetic. LOL.
south bridge road was amazing. so many costume jewelry shops in a row. made us walk back and forth comparing prices and such before we finally bought charms and chains. =.= and packaging, namely plastic bags. there was this cute shih tzu at one shop :) real dog kay...
chalet yesterday was even fun-er.
it's the simple things in life that make one smile huh?
books, playing badminton, volleyball with a balloon, and doing other crazy stuff is enough to make us laugh like mad. i felt better than i have in months! hell fun of a time :D

at last. the exams are over! here i am typing away on my lappie while my irritating sister tries to sleep and avoid my 'keyboard tapping', which i find pretty melodious to my ear. no matter, i shall go read manga for a while till she falls asleep and continue typing. where else can you find such a considerate sister like me? ;P ... before being chased out by my mum into another room just because my younger sis is a whining brat.
it's the 14th of october and my sister's birthday as well. i shall talk about papers later. brownie cake :DDDD that was the best part of today! i stayed back in school after maths to discuss pushcart competition. and i have nothing much to say, save that we really must rush everything. o.O so many people came. anyway we just hung around upstairs reading and talking and boring stuff and i swear i could see simlin's eyes salivating at the sight of brownies :DDDDD and white chocolate on the cake :DDDDDD.
i've changed my mind. i don't want to talk about exams any more. i shall go read pokemon manga :DDD
